Knoll Farms is a 10-acre farm in Brentwood, California, growing fruit, vegetables, and specialty crops for Bay Area kitchens, markets, home cooks, and foodies. We have been farming this land since 1979, supplying restaurants, farmers markets, and local customers with food that is harvested close to when it is sold.

We grow year-round, with variety shaped by the land and the time of year. What is available changes naturally as conditions shift, and we let that rhythm guide what we grow and how we sell.

Some crops move in short windows. Others, like figs in summer, take over the season once they start. That means steady picking, careful handling, and moving fruit quickly while it is at its best.
Seasonal Availability
What we grow changes through the year. Availability follows the season and the condition of the field
Green garlic, green onions, leeks, cardoon, citrus, seasonal greens, edible blossoms, and fresh herbs are the focus during this time.

Persimmons, figs winding down, seasonal greens, herbs, sundried fruit, and olive oil carry the season as harvest slows and the year begins to close.

Tree-ripened figs take center stage alongside stone fruit, basil, seasonal greens, herbs, edible flowers, olive oil, nopales, cactus fruit, and lingering spring crops. Volume is high and harvest is daily.
Green garlic, horseradish root, cardoon, citrus, olives and olive oil, purple broccoli, seasonal greens, wild and cultivated greens, sundried fruit, and hardy herbs are available through the colder months.

At the Heart of Knoll Farms
Knoll Farms was established in 1979 by Rick and Kristie Knoll and has played a lasting role in shaping California food culture through close, long-standing relationships with Bay Area restaurants and communities.
Our vibrant 10-acre farm is managed with close attention to soil health and biodiversity and remains a haven for local wildlife, allowing for a wide and changing range of high-quality produce throughout the year.
Knoll Farms remains rooted in Brentwood’s farming landscape, and we welcome orders and inquiries by email.
Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market
Saturdays 8am- 2pm
Check us out at the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market, Saturdays at Pier One in San Francisco. You'll find us there with all our fresh organic produce as well as many other vendors and shops. This market is organized by Foodwise, formally known as CUESA, please visit their website for more information.
Farm Stand Update
Our farm stand is currently paused while we make improvements, and we’re grateful for everyone who’s visited and supported us over the years.
